Noël en Normandie

I spent my second consecutive Christmas with my host family in Normandy. This time, we had five children in tow, and a lot of people sleeping under one roof. I also got to invite a friend to celebrate with us!

Christmas Eve consisted of decorating the tree, one of the most intense monopoly games I have ever played, attending Christmas mass at Abbaye aux Hommes, and indulging in a meal consisting entirely of fruits de mer, or seafood.

Christmas Day included opening presents (Santa Claus came!), indulging in a scrumptious Christmas lunch which included duck, and taking a walk by the sea.

Overall it was a wonderful holiday, and I’m so lucky to have people to spend it with while living overseas.

Bisous,

Dana

  1. That Christmas Eve meal would have killed me. I hate seafood. I can’t even just eat it and bear it. Nope. Luckily, J’s family understands – well, deals with it, understanding my hatred may be a different thing.

Let me know what you think!
