I was doing dishes the other day, and I had the TV on the background. Suddenly, a familiar song-tune came on. (Now for those of you who have been in my apartment, the TV and the kitchen sink are opposite one another, so I couldn’t actually see the context of the commercial at first.) When I turned around, I realized it was a Target commercial, using the song, Alouette. Here is the commercial, and the French & English translated lyrics below:
Alouette: les paroles en français
Alouette, gentille alouette
Alouette, je te plumerai (répétez 2 fois)
Je te plumerai la tête
Je te plumerai la tête
et la tête, et la tête
Alouette, aloutette, ohhh
Alouette, gentille alouette
Alouette: English lyrics
Little birdie, pretty little birdie,
Little birdie, I’m going to pluck your feathers out (repeat 2x)
I’m gonna pluck them from your head
I’m gonna pluck them from your head
From your head, from your head,
little bird, little bird, ohhhhhh
Little birdie, pretty little birdie
Little birdie, I’m gonna pluck your feathers out (repeat 2x)
I’m gonna pluck them from your beak,
I’m gonna pluck them from your beak
from your beak, from your beak
from your head, from your head,
little bird, little bird, ohhhhh
(repeat with back, legs, and wings)
Now, I’m not entirely sure why Target chose this song to go alone with this, mais c’est très mignon quand-même.
Bisous,
Dana
